Jonathan A. Zea is an accomplished researcher and innovator with a diverse background in technology and computer science. He began his academic career as an exchange student at Swinburne University of Technology in Melbourne, Australia, where he gained valuable insights into the latest advancements in the field of technology.

In 2016, Jonathan completed a prestigious internship at the Machine Learning and Vision Lab at Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology in Gwangju, Korea, where he was able to work alongside some of the world's leading experts in machine learning and computer vision. This experience allowed him to gain a deeper understanding of these rapidly evolving technologies and their potential applications.

In 2017, Jonathan was appointed as the inaugural President of the CIS-IEEE-EPN Computational Intelligence Student Chapter, where he played a key role in promoting research and innovation in the field of computational intelligence. He also served as a mentor and advisor to other students, helping to foster a culture of collaboration and excellence.

In 2018, Jonathan graduated as an Electronics and Control Engineer, having excelled in his studies and developed a reputation as a highly skilled and dedicated professional. He subsequently co-authored the “Antología de Cuentos” published in the Feria Internacional del Libro Quito 2019 by the Casa de la Cultura Ecuatoriana, showcasing his talent as a writer and creative thinker.

Jonathan's expertise in technology and computer science has earned him numerous accolades and recognition. In September 2021, he was recognized as one of the top 10 programmers in the Professional Category of the Devsu Code Jam (Ecuador, Colombia, Peru). He also participated in the IBM - Maratón Behind the Code in 2021, where he ranked in the Top 100 of developers in LATAM and was awarded a free trip to Galapagos for his exceptional performance.

In 2022, Jonathan completed a Master's degree in Computer Science with a specialization in Intelligent Systems, further enhancing his knowledge and skills in this cutting-edge field. He currently works as a research assistant at the Laboratory of Artificial Intelligence and Vision at the Escuela Politécnica Nacional, where he has published several scientific articles and continues to make valuable contributions to the field.
